Consultation Events

March 2025

Every March the Parish Council hosts the Annual Parish meeting in the Village Hall to which all residents are invited, when the Chairman reports on the Council’s activities during the past year.

The event in 2025 provided an opportunity for the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group to further inform Villagers about progress with the Neighbourhood Plan, and to give them an opportunity to talk to members of the Group

A poster display was exhibited which documented the Vision Statement and Objectives for the Plan and provided details about the evolving Policy Intentions.

October 2024

On 12th / 13th October 2024 the Little Hallingbury Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group hosted Coffee Morning and Consultation events in the Village Hall to which all Residents were invited.

The objective was to explain the scope and content that was currently proposed for the Neighbourhood Plan and obtain Residents’ feedback on the work that had been undertaken thus far; giving Residents an opportunity to have input at an early stage, whilst work was in progress.

May 2024

During Spring 2024 a Housing Needs Survey was undertaken by RCCE (Rural Community Council of Essex) in Little Hallingbury.

Questionnaires were hand delivered to every home in the Village, with the completed forms being posted directly back to RCCE in the envelopes provided.

The HNS  report and recommendations were completed in May 2024

September 2023

During September 2023 a Residents Questionnaire was hand delivered to all 650 homes and businesses in the Village.

The deadline for responses, which could either written or electronic, was 23rd October.

We received 182 responses and these  responses have informed work on the Neighbourhood Plan.

An overview of the results was published in Village Views in December 2023.
